I can’t begin to tell you how incredible this engagement session was. Doing any engagement session is always such a fun experience but in Chicago was definitely quite the experience! Cassie and Marc are some of the most amazing humans I have come across. Such good people that love others, have built great relationships with those around them, love to have a good time, and are contagiously happy. They went above and beyond for me and made sure that even though I was there to do a job and photograph their session, that I was having the best time possible the entire weekend.

Cassie and Marc both live in Chicago so they know the city very well and knew exactly where they wanted to take pictures. The photographer brain in me wanted to make sure we took all the pictures at the right time based on the lighting so they picked me up from the airport and we drove around the day prior of their shoot to scope everything out. We had a great plan mapped out and were ready for their shoot the next day!! We started their session the next morning at the River. The river was a gorgeous teal color with the sun adding an extra sparkle to it. We took pictures up and down the river, admiring all the yachts and skyscrapers. We then got in their car and headed to the lake to get some epic shots of the skyline behind them-some of which ended up being some of my favorite shots from the day! Chicago has one of the best skylines and it looked magnificent that morning! Wrigley Stadium was next on the list along with a few more of their favorite spots around the city! We then headed to Navy Pier for lunch and had some delicious tacos and awaited our boat ride on a Pirate ship! Honestly the day just kept getting better and better! We had a great time on the boat!! Perfect weather and views! We headed back to our hotels to rest a bit and gear up for the second part of the shoot in the late afternoon. We had a few more places on the list-The iconic Chicago Theatre, Buckingham Fountain, The “Bean” which Cassie told me was actually called Cloud Gate, and ended the afternoon at The Shedd Aquarium. I can’t express enough how amazing this couple is and it was a dream to do this for them! I know their wedding is going to be just as magical!
